Matthews, Regina v: CACD 25 Jun 2009

Renewed application for leave to appeal against sentence of 3 years for perverting the course of justice. He had witnessed a fatal accident at work, and gone along with a false account given on behalf of the company. He had lied on two occasions before trial, at the trial, and again on re-interview.
Held: Leave was refused. It was impossible to find error in the judge’s approach.
