The deceased was a national hero in Brazil, and the local parish did not oppose the faculty request. The same principles applied whether the interment was in a churchyard or within the Church. The need for comity in this circumstance was persuasive to establish a good and proper reason for the ground of the faculty. The body would be reinterred in consecrated ground.
