Canal and River Trust (Decision Notice) FS50509558: ICO 15 Jan 2014

The complainant has requested the Canal and River Trust (CaRT) to disclose a breakdown of the remuneration paid to a named employee. CaRT responded to this request directing the complainant to some information it had published on this matter. In terms of a formal response under the FOIA, CaRT informed the complainant that the information he had requested was not a class of information covered by the FOIA by virtue of the British Waterways Board (Transfer of Functions) Order 2012 (the 2012 Order). The Commissioner has reviewed CaRT’s response and he is satisfied, in this case, that the information requested does not fall within the definition of information to which CaRT has FOI obligations. He therefore requires no further action to be taken in this case.
