Ali v Esure Services Ltd: CA 19 Dec 2011

The court was asked as to its jurisdiction to make a committal order for contempt after a false statement was lodged in County Court proceedings transferred to the High Court.
Held: Although contempt proceedings have to be brought in the High Court whereas the underlying proceedings may be in the county court, there should be no practical difficulty in that regard.
