Toni Kostadinov v Bulgaria: ECHR 27 Jan 2015

The applicant alleged that he was arrested despite the lack of sufficient data to suspect the commission of a criminal offence, that his detention continued beyond a reasonable period, that he had not been able effectively to challenge the lawfulness and necessity of detention and had not been able to obtain compensation for the damage suffered due to these facts. He alleged that his presumption of innocence has been questioned by the minister of the interior in office at the material time.
