Gambling Commission (Central Government): ICO 10 Jan 2022

The complainant has requested information relating to the sales of pounds 10 scratchcards and Interactive Instant Win Games (IIWG). The Gambling Commission (GC) refused to disclose the requested information citing section 43(2) (commercial interests) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the exemption is engaged but the public interest lies in disclosure. The Commissioner requires the GC to take the following steps: disclose the requested information.
