Number and nature of complaints made against a named solicitor – On 17 August 2012, Mr Forbes asked the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission (the SLCC) for information on the number and nature of complaints made against a named solicitor. The SLCC refused to confirm or deny whether it held relevant recorded information. Following an investigation, the Commissioner found that the SLCC was entitled to neither confirm nor deny whether it held information which would address Mr Forbes’ request.
