The complainant requested information about projects supported by the Export Credits Guarantee Department (ECGD) but not disclosed in its Annual Review and Resource Accounts for the financial years 2007/08, 2008/09 and 2009/10. The ECGD disclosed some information but withheld the remainder citing international relations (section 27) and commercial interests (section 43) of the FOIA. The Information Commissioner’s decision is that the ECGD correctly applied section 27 to all of the withheld information. He requires no steps to be taken.
