The complainant requested the Common Council of the City of London (CoL) to release some information relating to its FOI function and how internal reviews are carried out. The CoL responded refusing to comply with the request under section 12(4)(b) of the Act. As the complainant remained dissatisfied, he approached the Commissioner. The Commissioner has given the matter careful consideration and he is satisfied that section 12(1) applies by virtue of section 12(4)(b) of the Act to the request. He therefore requires no further action to be taken.
