ICO The complainant has requested a copy of a draft manuscript and any accompanying notes seized by Greater Manchester Police (‘GMP’) as evidence in a counter terrorism investigation in 2008. GMP refused the request, citing the exemption at section 30(1)(a) (investigations and proceedings) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that GMP was entitled to rely on the exemption at section 30(1)(a). The Commissioner does not require GMP to take any further steps as a result of this decision.
