Commission for Social Care Inspection (Decision Notice): ICO 26 Apr 2006

The complainant requested information concerning a complaint made against a school and the CSCI provided the complainant with an opportunity to view the information at a convenient location. The complainant viewed the information and was satisfied that there was no further information to be provided, but was unhappy with the amount of time it had taken to obtain access to the information in question. The information was requested on 2 March 2005 but the CSCI did not write to the complainant offering a viewing date until 26 June 2006 and the CSCI was therefore in breach of the 20 working day time limit for response.
