Ciorcan And Others v Romania: ECHR 27 Jan 2015

The applicants, relying on Articles 2 and 3 of the Convention, alleged that the forceful and disproportionate intervention of State agents had put their lives in danger and subjected them to ill-treatment, and that the authorities had failed to conduct an effective investigation into the events in question. They further alleged that the events complained of had been the result of discriminatory attitudes towards people of Roma origin and entailed a violation of Article 14 of the Convention.
