Brown v Merchant Ferries: CA 1998

The test of whether an employer has behaved unreasonably toward an employee is not subjective. The employee’s actual perception is not material. The test is an objective one; that is whether viewed objectively, the employer’s conduct so impacted on the employee that the employee could properly conclude that the employer was repudiating the contract.
