Balazs And Others v Hungary: ECHR 17 Feb 2015

In March 2003 criminal proceedings were initiated against the applicants on charges of blackmailing. In a decision which became final and binding on 17 February 2012, the Pest Central District Court acquitted the applicants. The applicants complained that the length of the proceedings had been incompatible with the ‘reasonable time’ requirement of Article 6 – 1 of the Convention.
