ICO The complainant requested details of financial support that the Welsh Government agreed with a particular company. The Welsh Government withheld the information under section 43(2) of the FOIA. During the Commissioner’s investigation the Welsh Government withdrew reliance on section 43 and stated that it considered sections 29(1)(b) and 36(2)(c) to apply to the requested information. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Welsh Government has incorrectly withheld the information under sections 29(1)(b) and 36(2)(c). The Commissioner requires the Welsh Government to disclose the information withheld under sections 29(1)(b) and 36(2)(c) to the complainant.
