Regina v Toor: CACD 23 Jan 2003

The appellants challenged their sentences of two and a half year imprisonment, for having been knowingly concerned in the carrying out of arrangements for facilitating the entry of an illegal immigrant.
Held: The appellants had entered into a scheme to arrange for the illegal entry of their brother. The problem was prevalent in the area, and a deterrent sentence was appropriate. Appeals dismissed.
