The complainant requested policies regarding recording, retention and detention of forensic exhibits. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (the PSNI) advised that it did not hold the requested information. The Commissioner’s decision is that the PSNI handled the request in accordance with the FOIA. The Commissioner is satisfied that, on the balance of probabilities, the PSNI does not hold the requested information. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken by the public authority.
