Method Developments v Jones: CA 1971

To oppose a tenancy renewal successfully on the grounds of his own intention to carry out works on the premises, it is not enough for the landlord to have some generalised intention in the indeterminate future. He has to show an intention to start to carry out the work on which he relies within a reasonable time after the termination:
