Adoption - From: 1960 To: 1969This page lists 1 cases, and was prepared on 02 April 2018. In re L (An Infant) (1962) 106 SJ 611 1962 CA Lord Denning MR Adoption That a proposed adoption of a child would be in the child's best interests is not necessarily an indication that the parent's opposition to the adoption is unreasonable: "A reasonable mother surely gives great weight to what is better for the child. Her anguish of mind is quite understandable; but still it may be unreasonable for her to withhold consent. We must look and see whether it is reasonable or unreasonable according to what a reasonable woman in her place would do in all the circumstances of the case." 1 Citers |
