The complainant made a freedom of information request to Companies House for information it had received in relation to a complaint it had previously investigated against a named company. Companies House refused the request under the exemptions in section 41 (Information provided in confidence) and section 43 (Commercial interests) of the Act. The Commissioner has investigated the complaint and has found that section 41 applies to all of the requested information and that Companies House dealt with the request in accordance with the Act. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2010/0118 allowed.
