The complainant has requested the name of an individual responsible for writing an internal email which has been disclosed to his wife by the Cabinet Office. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Cabinet Office has appropriately applied section 40(2) FOIA (personal information) to withhold the name. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.
